AllergyCertified is an international allergy label and is created to prevent skin allergies. Skin allergy (or contact dermatitis) is one of the most common chronic diseases and is created by exposure to allergens. The most common pattern is that people react after years of exposure to the same chemical. Some products such as deodorant and products that you do not rinse, including face creams, give greater exposure than products you rinse like shampoo. You can prevent skin allergies by avoiding products that contain allergens or products that are AllergyCertified. The criteria for these allergens are determined by a toxicologist who checks all the ingredients and the concentrations of each individual product to ensure that they are as soft and skin-friendly as possible. Allergy Certified products must contain no known allergens and are carefully tested for toxicity before they are allowed to get the AllergyCertified logo.
