Maureen van Aken - founder, owner
I'm Maureen and I'm super happy to represent so many awesome beauty and lifestyle brands! I love the pure, personal contact that forms the basis of every collaboration. It is cool to enthuse and inspire people with innovative ideas and to set things in motion. I am positive, open and clear in my communication and like to work creatively with clients and the press. High quality results are important to me.
After my study International Business Administration and 5 years of sales experience in IT, I started working in the natural cosmetics industry in 1998. For more than 10 years I was responsible for designing and building up the marketing & sales department of a renowned natural cosmetics brand, after which I started my own PR & Marketing agency and set up a webshop. Throughout my career I have been active internationally.
In my spare time I like to walk along the Reeuwijkse puddles or on the beach, when the weather is nice I sail around the puddles, do yoga and paint landscapes.
Samantha Vink - PR Operations Coordinator
I'm Samantha, PR Operations Coordinator at Pure Beauty PR.
Curious, surprised and above all incredibly enthusiastic I once entered the world of beauty and lifestyle - and now I feel completely at home. For me this was a completely new industry, but that is exactly what makes it so fun and refreshing.
At Pure Beauty PR I take care of sharing beautiful publications with our clients, I maintain the CRM system and I take care of the administration and invoicing. I work in the background, but with full dedication to everything that ensures that the PR processes run smoothly.
Originally, I come from the insurance world and in addition to my work at Pure Beauty PR, I am also active as a pension manager. In my spare time, I prefer to be on the padel court or on my motorbike. "And through..." is my motto - I like to tackle things and like to bring some cheerful energy, every day again!
Merel van der Vlist - PR Assistant
My name is Merel, PR Assistant at Pure Beauty PR. I am 18 years old and come from Bergambacht. In my free time I like to play football and tennis. At the moment I am following the Marketing & Communication course at the MBO Utrecht, where I am in the third year.
After a very fun and educational internship of six months at Pure Beauty PR, I happily stayed on. Now I work on all kinds of different tasks within the agency.
My work includes maintaining the social media channels, sending publications to customers, updating the website, designing banners and many more creative and varied projects.
I look forward to developing myself further within Pure Beauty PR and learning a lot from Maureen and the team!
Julie van Aken - PR Assistant
I'm Julie, 23 years old, and I'm from the charming town of Reeuwijk. I now live and study in the beautiful city of Leiden, where I’m in my third year of the Bachelor of Communication program at Leiden University of Applied Sciences.
As a PR assistant at Pure Beauty PR, I’m gaining hands-on experience in the field of communications. I support the team with creating social media content, compiling press lists, organizing mailings, and sending out products. I also help ensure the daily operations at the office run smoothly – and I hope to expand Pure Beauty PR’s social presence to TikTok soon!
In my free time, I love spending time with friends or being out on the water; sailing and boating on the Reeuwijkse Plassen always make me happy.
